Engineering Manager
This role leads the Plant Engineering team, including managing the capital plan, leading project management activities, and providing technical leadership to the plant.

Lead Plant Engineering team comprised of Managers and EngineersBuild skills in the Engineering and broader plant team to deliver initiativesDevelop and advance culture and high performance organization principles across the locationOversee all project management activities for the plant; lead critical projects directlyDeliver projects to support safety, quality, operational and sustainability expectationsManage site capital plan ranging from small maintenance projects to large initiatives; accountable to Regional Engineering LeaderForecast capital and project expense spending; owns the Plant Capital BudgetDevelop and manage engineering expense cost centersMeet/exceed Company expectations for project delivery, including Finance and Purchasing.
Added focus will be expected to collaborate with plant and corporate Food Safety quality team to manage risks during project execution.
Manage relationships with key suppliers, including capital equipment, engineering per JMS Standards and constructionComply with requirements for permitting, including building and environmentalOwn the Initiatives Management pillar for the plant, building capability across the teamLeads team to improve plant project delivery processesInterfaces with Consumer Technical Services Organization and resources (including R&D) to prioritize work and allocate resourcesAct as the technical leader for the plant, supporting resolution of key short and long-term issuesPartner with Operations to staff and support project startups appropriatelyManage related areas as determined by the plant organization design which includes Information Services, Utilities Team, Project engineers, Refrigeration and PSM subject matter expertsLead/support development and implementation of plant technical master plans, including upgrade and replacement strategies for equipment and facilitiesWill be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team to provide direction and prioritization for the plantOwns the electrical distribution system and wastewater system health and compliance What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
Technical Associate degree is requiredMinimum 7-10 years of engineering and operations experienceAdvanced TPM, Lean, Six Sigma or other experience with the implementation of High Performing Work Systems is requiredSuccessful experience leading, coaching and managing technical leadersPrevious experience with large capital projects is required ($20M
is preferred) Recommended Skills Coaching And Mentoring Electric Power Distribution Finance Food Safety Hvac Java Message Service (Jms) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
